Fast talkers are perceived to be nervous and unsure. But don’t slow down to the point where people start finishing your sentences for you just to help you finish.
6. Enunciate your words
Speak as clearly as possible and do not jumble your words. If you find people are asking you to repeat yourself too often then you are mumbling. Also, try not to talk too quickly.

Speak to a volume appropriate for your listeners. When talking to larger groups you have to project your voice so thus speaking louder, and to a smaller audience it is suitable to speak with a softer, quieter voice.
