AIMS:
Participants need to recognise that their skills, knowledge and attitudes to clients have a significant effect on the quality of care provided.
The overall aim of the programme is for participants to get to know their working environment, their role and function within the team/organisation. The programme is aimed at participants gaining a more in-depth insight of the internal working systems of the team and examining how this works in practice.
OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the course, participants would have:
- Identified, examined and discussed the values, structure and organisation of the team
- Examined and discussed the main issues regarding the Care environment that they work in
- Developed skills, knowledge and attitudes that are vital in the Care environment
- Identified, examined and discussed the main policies, procedures and systems operating within the team
- Change to Identified, examined and discussed their role within the team and its impact on service users/clients
- Examined and discussed the needs of individuals and the Personal Care that is required of service users/clients
- Examined and discussed issues regarding Health & Safety within the team
- Identified, examined and discussed recording keeping within the team and its importance
- Identified, discussed and become familiar with terminology used in the team
- Identified and examined areas of Best Care Practice in the team
