AIMS:

How are confident are you about interviewing and selecting the best person to fill your vacant post? Successful recruitment and selection is one of the keys to organisational success, yet it is a process and procedure that many people find both difficult and daunting.

This one day workshop is designed for people who are or who will be involved in the recruitment and selection procedure. It will provide you with the tools and techniques to ensure you make the right choices in recruiting and selecting staff, confidence in your recruitment procedures and to make the whole process cost effective for the organisation.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be familiar with recruitment and selection procedures, employ best practice and develop their Shortlisting and Interviewing techniques.

The workshop is very practical and interactive in its approach and will include:

  • The role and responsibilities of the manager/staff in the Recruitment and Selection process
  • Reviewing the vacancy and planning ahead
  • Developing effective listening, interpersonal and questioning skills
  • Matching the candidate to the requirements
  • Making the right selection
  • Practical sessions on the Shortlisting, Interviewing and Decision making stages
